Father's Day - The fishing trip that almost wasn't

Today I took the boys fishing and with some bumps along the way we finally managed to go fishing. The first problem was the tackle box was missing and after looking for a while, Thelma suggested we just go buy some more lures so we did. With new tackle box in hand we drove off to the Bethel reservoir only to be greated with a gate and no tresspassing signs. We were allowed to fish there years ago without a problem.... So after a stop at Dunkin Donuts we headed off to try Putnam Park but the water level was low and the pond was choked with weeds and Lilly pads. Ben lost 2 lures straight away so we decided to head over to Huntingon State park around the corner. It's a short hike to the pond but we had much better luck there. The boys didn't catch my fish but the pond gas less weeds now thanks to their efforts!
