Google Service disruption (Again)

Following on the heels of the Google service disruption two weeks ago, this morning I was greeted with this error message in my Gmail Inbox:

RYSZ.COM Mail is temporarily unable to access your Contacts. You may experience issues while this persists.

I am able to access my mail through my iPhone using IMAP which is good so I am not too upset. We will have to wait and see what the cause of this problem is. Of course this is going to be national news all over again. It's too soon after the last outage to have something else happen. This may spook some users off of Google.

Details of the message:

We're aware of a problem with Google Mail affecting a small subset of users. The affected users are unable to access Google Mail, but we've provided a workaround below. We will provide an update by September 24, 2009 11:29:00 AM UTC-4 detailing when we expect to resolve the problem. Please note that this resolution time is an estimate and may change.
